About
Me
I’m a queer Dominican from Washington Heights.

I grew up sprinting through the aisles of Fabco like it was a racetrack, having water gun fights with my twin sister in the summer heat, and battling it out in Pokémon games with neighborhood kids who felt more like cousins than friends.

Before I start bragging about the Pokémon cards I won, welcome to Azúcar y Afuera.

This website is a love letter to the life I’ve lived and the lives I want to honor. As I unpack what it means to be queer, Dominican, and from NYC, this space is for storytelling—both mine and others’.

Here, I share personal reflections, spotlight the stories of queer folks in NYC, and create space for the resources we need—the kind that help us find safety, joy, and each other.

This is my love letter to queer people—especially those still finding their way home.
Esta es mi carta de amor para las personas queer—especialmente para quienes aún están buscando su camino a casa.
